COLGATE HERBAL “ ME AND MY GILLU ”
INTRA – SCHOOL AND INTER – SCHOOL HAND
MADE PAPER DRAWING CONTEST
· ‘COLGATE Herbal’ had brought to school children of Kolkata a first of its kind ‘hand-made paper inter school drawing contest’ to promote FUN & NATURE.
· The contest was conceptualised by MarketingPundit.com.
·
The core
activity was supported by COLGATE Herbal.
·
The theme of
the contest was accordingly FUN & NATURE.
·
There was NO
ENTRY FEE. Moreover, a participating did not have to provide any proof of purchas e of any
product.
·
The hand made
paper drawing sheet was provided to each participant by Colgate. However, all drawing/ colouring material had to be provided by the
participant themselves.
·
A whopping
16000 children from 36 reputed schools in Calcutta participated in the contest divided
into TWO class groups of Classes 2
– 5 and 6 – 8.
·
There was NO
UPPER LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS from each school.
·
The
intra-school contest at the respective schools were held between 3rd September and 28th
September 2002. Entry Forms were available at the respective schools.
·
The 1st,
2nd, 3rd prize winners and 3
certificate of merit winners of the intra-school contest in each of the TWO class groups
from each participating school participated in the finals (inter-school contest) held in ‘SWABHUMI’ – the heritage plaza
in Calcutta on 2nd October 2002 between 10.30am and 11.30am .

This implies
that a minimum of 6 children from the lower
class group +
6 children from the higher class group
participated from each school in the finals.

For the
inter-school contest, there are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd
prize winners and 12 certificate of
merit winners in each of the TWO class groups.
·
The winners
of the intra-school contest was judged by the respective school authorities.
·
The winners
of the inter-school contest was judged by a panel of judges nominated by Colgate. The
decision of the judges is final & binding.
·
The duration
of the contest for each group for the intra-school as
well as the inter-school finals was 1 hour.
·
Schools were informed about the inter-school results immediately after the Durga Puja
2002 holidays. The Prizes/ Certificates were distributed at the respective
schools.
